  The arboretum has several well- kept trails with plenty of shade, allowing a cool walk even on a hot day. Twenty minutes would let you see most of it with extra time for reading historic or informative signs. It's secluded enough that the birds are the main sounds with kids' voices in the distance because the river adjoins it.
